Inspiration of the Day – Hayley Williams

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is, “It’s okay.” It’s okay for me to be kind to myself. It’s okay to be wrong. It’s okay to get mad. It’s okay to be flawed. It’s okay to be happy. It’s okay to move on. -Hayley Williams

  1. Love this quote! I recently freaked out over something, fearing I’d made a mistake. The actual underlying feeling was “I’m going to get into trouble for this”, which is an old feeling from childhood and doesn’t belong to me anymore. When I feel like this I have to tell myself that its ok to be wrong or to make a mistake or even to get into trouble, sometimes. And actually, getting into ‘trouble’ sometimes can be kind of fun!

As always, I love your blog!! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much Ana! I am very much the same way. I had a bad work experience a few years ago and it’s taken me a long time to even remotely break myself out of the “I’m going to lose my job” or “I’m going to get in trouble for this” pattern every time I make a mistake or something goes wrong. The thought literally never occurred me just to say “it’s ok” like you and Hayley both have learned to do. I’m glad the quote resonated with you and thanks for reading! 🙂
